Hi,

I'm trying to enable the Aux in on my 2012 (8R) Q5 to work with the 10.25" HW v3.0 unit. My car has an AMI interface in the glovebox (nothing connected to it) and has a Concert radio unit. The strange thing is that I can hear the navigation directions from within Google maps, but if I go to youtube or something else and play audio, no sound comes through.

I've been told I need to enable the aux in on the radio system so I've bought OBDeleven and used it set Bit 0 and Bit 2 to true of byte 00 in the radio sub menu but still don't have the input show up after coding it. Do I need to disable/enable anything else to make this work? I've been Googling to try and work this out but not found anything useful - help!

Just by the AMI to AUX-IN adaptor, just connect it and you will have sound, I have done the same to my car. The only thing you have to do, is to push MEDIA button and choose as SOURCE the Audio-In

The problem is I don't have a 3.5mm out (or similar) on the harness for the RSNAV unit so this method won't work 😞

What do you mean? There is a cable AMI to Aux (3.5mm). Just plug it and it will work without connecting anything, only just selecting as SOURCE the Audio-in
