Daniel,

is there a possibility to add the option to disable the auto-dim function when turning lights on/off? Some users want to use Tasker with Twilight plug-in which autoadjusts brightness according to day/night with information from GPS, which means that brightness only dims when it's really dark outside and not early as Auto-headlights turn on.

I know I can untick the "Reset to default" option on Realsun Settings on Day and Night, but when turning lights on/off auto dims brightness to the level we don't want

Have you tried setting night and day brightness to the same level so that it has no effect?

Or maybe it is overruling twilight?

Of course, but the problem is that when you switch on-off lights again, brightness from full reduces to the default level because tasker doesn't check brightness level to re-configure it, it does it only the times of the day you program it.

I finally configured Tasker to reloop the task for brightness so will check every second the brightness level and adjust it to my selection.

Works very good. I need to check now if it keeps the unit awake or not, due to continuously relooping task, even if it's configured not to keep it awake

Could you share your Tasker settings to enable this. Thanks, Dennis

kostas-k, thank you for posting the loop. Could you also provide the settings for auto adjusting the brightness above. Thanks again. Dennis

You just make another task with all settings the same except the brightness that you put value 0. Then you create two profiles, each one got each task to configure the time you want to enable each task. You can install Twilight/locale Tasker plug-in to insert to profiles, that way, tasker will check time zones using gps and will adjust automatically

OK. I was hoping you could screen shot the setup of Tasker with Twilight to automatically change brightness based on the GPS data. Thanks

Here is the backup to restore the settings on Tasker with no need to configure your own, I have done it for youand tested it to work ok. The decryption key can be asked using PM only, don't post on thread asking for it, please. Just want to share this only with RSNAV members, thanks for understanding.

I am using this application. You can configure how often to check the brightness of the screen.
