Hi all,

I'm looking to replace the MMI screen on my C6 RS6 (MMI 2G High). Is there anything I need to be aware of? This is what my console looks like:

console

I think the 10.25" would fit fine, right? I am a little bit confused as to the possible options - i.e. why would someone choose the 8.8 instead of the 10.25?

Thanks!

We've been exchanging some e-mails but I haven't heard back from you recently. I know you've been extremely busy and burnt out. I'm just a bit frustrated with the ongoing issue that I'm encountering.

To recap:

My issues is that audio drops out when listening from a streaming service. It's the same issue whether I'm using the carplay dongle from Apple Music or SiriusXM. It also happens when watching YouTube videos r the native Sirius XM app directly from RSNav. In order for the sound to come back, I would press the AUX hard button from the center console to switch to the OEM MMI then the music will flow through. But when I go back to the RSNAV screen, the audio would cut out. It seems that it would switch from the Aux to the CD randomly. Actually, i would notice it would do that sometimes on the next song which I found odd.

I initially thought it might be some interference from the dongle. I was encountering the same issue using the direct USB connection w/ my iPhone X or using wifi.

My guess is it's either a software bug w/ the AUX auto-switching to CD or I have a faulty aux decoder box or optical cables. You last suggested that I check the red, white & black cable in the aux decoder box but it seems to be connected properly.

Are you aware of anyone else encountering this issue from other 2G MMI users? I know the 2G MMI is a bit different from the 3G MMI (I used to have a the rsnav for the B8.5 S4 w/ the 3g MMI) where the aux input is actually treated like a CD changer #6 or #7 (I forget which) where as the 3G MMI has a completely separate aux input.

Thanks for your help.

Alex

I have a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro  and note the vehicle has a 6 CD Changer in dash and Auxiliary input in the glove box. I found the RSNAV product for the 2G High systems . A note on the product descriptions indicates "for 2G MMI HIGH SYSTEM WITH COLOR SCREEN/NO AUX". Since I have an auxiliary capable system, does this indicate the RSNAV noted will NOT work for my vehicle?

For the 3G MMI systems one of the first steps is enabling AUX because the RSNav unit outputs sound via the AUX channel. I'd be surprised if that suddenly isn't the case for 2G MMI. I guess it's best to mail support before ordering to make sure. Be aware of this news item possibly causing delays

I got a email from Daniel and have placed my order for the 2H High unit. I may install an aftermarket eRapta reverse camera that I had purchased and add a WiFi adaptor. There were items I was going to connect to the Fire HD 10 that I've been using with a Bluetooth AMI adaptor in the glove box. I was having audio quality issues with the CarPlay dongle from CarLinkIt and IOS 13.2. So, I've been running Google Maps without Auto-Kit. I listen to SiriusXM, Pandora, Amazon Music, or watch YouTube outside of Auto-Kit. I refrain from making or receiving calls while driving :)
