Copying my post from Audizine ...

I do not know how many of you are happy or unhappy with the Bluetooth phone app provided by RsNav. I was absolutely unhappy with it as I can not search through the contacts, some times contacts go missing
and etc ..

With the source code released from Daniel, I made a simple app to "redirect all outgoing calls to the Bluetooth connected phone". With this, you can use your favorite Phone app to make a call from RsNav and it will be placed automatically from the connected Bluetooth phone. or You can ask Google Assistant to make a call and it will now be done via connected Bluetooth Phone.
You also have the possibility to disable this feature.

I have been using/testing it from past few days on my 8.8 inch HW 2.0 Android 6 device and it seems to be working as expected.

Source code and some info on usage is available at --> https://github.com/RaPrPo/CallsToBt
You can download the app from releases --> https://github.com/RaPrPo/CallsToBt/releases

During the installation, it might show a warning that the developer is unknown and do you still want to install, click install anyway to install it.
Usage of app is simple and self understandable, if needed I can make a video on usage.

Hope some of you might find it also useful. Appreciate your feedback.

Any new feature suggestions are welcome.

Feature list in plan:
  • Add the outgoing call to the Call log.
  • Outgoing call screen in a popup window.

I just installed your app and wanted to say thanks! Trying to figure out bluetooth was driving me nuts since it kept connecting to the head unit itself so I would not be able to hear anyone nor could they hear me.

The only hiccup with the app for the 10.25" unit is that I no longer get the notice on the screen itself. It just cuts the music and connects me to the bluetooth. Not a big deal for me personally since using your app lets me use my bluetooth in my car. Just thought I'd point that out.

Hello all,

I have an update to my app, V1.5.

Now, the outgoing call redirected to Bluetooth Phone is added to the Call Log.

Updated app can be downloaded from ---> https://github.com/RaPrP...eases/tag/Release%2Fv1.5

At the moment, I do not have RsNav device. I sent it for repair and waiting for the replacement device. I have testing this feature on my Android Phone. Can any one test it and give a short feedback.

Thanks for update. But my app has nothing to do with the display of the call on screen. It simply redirects the call to the connected Bluetooth phone, so call is placed on the connected phone. And then since the phone is connected to RsNav via blutooth, RsNav device device receives the call and shows the call screen.
Call redirection is equivalent to initiating a call directly on the connected phone.

No worries. Thanks again for the app.
